I am so sick of hearing Obama talk about the "fair shot". It's bull shit, and he knows it. What he is really talking about, is a complete "redistribution" of wealth, which he has confirmed that he believes in.
Obama has said, "..... we can restore an economy where everybody gets a fair shot, everybody does their fair share, everybody plays by the same set of rules, from Washington to Wall Street to Main Street."
Here's the deal as I see it. If there was EVER a sign that Americans DO have a "fair shot", it is Obama in The White House! The 12.2 % of America being Blacks, and even adding in 16.3 % of the Hispanic population (2010 census), that 28.5 % DID NOT elect Obama by themselves! No way. As much as I can't stand this lazy narcissistic fake, he IS where he is, because in America such things CAN happen.
Look at the Hispanics/Latinos and Black Americans (among other minorities) in high places, like governors, senators, congressmen/women, head of corporations, etc. The number of people who have come from near nothing, to very successful positions in life, did not let anything stand in their way. Even at times where they may have failed, they got back up and tried again. America, as a whole, DID NOT stand in there way. They not only had a "fair shot", but capitalized on it! The "fair shot" is already there. But each of us has to get off our asses and go for it!
The "fair shot" mantra serves Obama in two ways.
* First, that mantra, just adds to the class warfare wedge he is trying to drive between us. Keeping the classes at odds, puts more of the lower income people on his side, skipping along to his tune. Or at least, its a "divide and conquer" approach.
* Secondly, Obama keeps driving the underlying message, that all those "rich" OWE it to the less fortunate to share in the rewards. (BTW - That was his intent with the "you didn't build that" BS. Telling people that everybody did it, makes people think everyone is entitled to share in the success - wealth of the successful.) The "rich" worked for their money, and will use every lawful way to keep as much of it as they can. - Just like Obama, Pelosi, and Reid do! But why should ANYONE else expect to share in that wealth? I know I didn't earn their money. Does everyone who bought one of Obama's books, get a share in HIS profits? Hell NO! I have no claim to anyone else's money! Nor do you.
If Obama really believed Romney unfairly keeps HIS money by not paying "his fair share", then WHY hasn't Obama and crew pushed real tax reform that would solve those tax-loop-holes-for-the-rich issues? Gee ... because THEY TOO use the tax system to their own advantages? YES! They take all the deductions they can (So do I with my measely little income!), so they can keep as much of their own money they can! No matter what Obama may say, pay attention to what he DOES!
You want a "fair shot"? Quit whining! Get a job (or at least make an honest effort to find one). Keep the one you have until you can better yourself. And STOP EXPECTING the government to take care of you. Life ain't fair, but you CAN make the best of what ever is dealt to you.
For those who would rather follow Obama and stand in line for hand-outs (or support those who do), sit your butt down in a chair under his tent, and hold your cup out for the kool-aid! Barack "Jim Jones" Obama will be serving you up a batch soon.
